Donald T. Weed, MD, FACS is a Professor and Executive Vice Chairman in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his otolaryngology residency training and fellowship training in head and neck, cranial base, and microvascular reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt University and has been on staff in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Miami since graduation from fellowship in 1996. Dr. Weed's clinical interests are in head and neck and skull base tumor resections, and microvascular reconstruction, with active research interests in the immunology of head and neck cancers and optimal therapuetic strategies for immunomodulation of these tumors. He is a past Chairman of Microvascular Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, and currently serves as Chairman of the Advanced Training Council of the American Head and Neck Society.
