Nicholas Waring, MD, is a PGY-1 resident physician in otorhinolaryngology at the University of Pennsylvania. He was born in Plano, TX, grew up in Raleigh, NC, and received his B.S. in mathematics from Georgetown University and his M.D. From Columbia University. He spent a year between his third and fourth year of medical school as a Dean's Research Fellow in Dr. Elizabeth Olson's lab using sheep as a large-animal model to test a novel implantable middle ear microphone, collaboration with Dr. Heidi Nakajima at Mass Eye and Ear and Dr. Jeffrey Lang at MIT.
