Jeremy Meier is a Professor of Pediatric Otolaryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Surgical Services at Primary Children's Hospital and the Associate Medical Director of Head and Neck for Intermountain Health. His clinical practice encompasses all areas of complicated ENT problems in children. Dr. Meier thrives on managing children with complex airway and breathing problems, congenital craniofacial disorders, and facial trauma. He enjoys treating children with genetic syndromes and is grateful for the relationships with his patients and parents.
Dr. Meier received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Brigham Young University, and graduated summa cum laude from St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California Davis Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Meier completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Here, he gained expertise in all areas of pediatric otolaryngology and congenital disorders of the head and neck.
His research focuses on improving value for common pediatric otolaryngology conditions so that we can make healthcare better and safer at lower costs. Improving health for the underserved population, both locally and internationally, is important to Dr. Meier. He travels annually to Cape Coast, Ghana where he helps train local surgeons to improve otolaryngology care in Ghana.
