Alison Choi, BS is a third-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan where she completed a thesis on the endogenous opioid system's role in chronic stress and led a global health design team to develop a low-cost solution for pressure ulcer formation in low-resource hospitals. Her current research interests involve sleep surgery outcomes and barriers to care, and she hopes to find ways to incorporate her passions of global health and medical innovation in her future career.
