Mazen El Ali, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), serving as the Program Director of Sleep Medicine and Director of the Sleep Laboratory at Montefiore, Monroeville, and Mercy Hospital at UPMC. He holds certifications from The American Board of Internal Medicine in Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine. Dr. El Ali is an active member of several professional and scientific societies, including the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He has received education award, the PACCM Outstanding Sleep Medicine Educator Award in 2022. Dr. El Ali has contributed to publications, presented at local and national conferences, and actively participates in teaching, including fellow, resident, and medical student education. Additionally, he is involved in service activities both within the university and medical school, as well as in the community, serving in leadership roles and engaging in peer education initiatives.
