Dr. Eric Wilkinson is a Surgeon and Partner at Idaho Ear Clinic in Meridian, Idaho, where he helps direct the only subspecialty Otology-Neurotology Practice in the Idaho and Eastern Oregon regions. Idaho Ear Clinic is a comprehensive Otology-Neurotology, Audiology, and Outpatient Surgical Center facility dedicated to the treatment of ear, hearing, auditory implants, balance, and facial nerve disorders.
Dr. Wilkinson is originally from Tempe, Arizona and received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. His Otolaryngology residency was completed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, and he completed his fellowship in Otology/Neurotology at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. Wilkinson joined the staff of the House Ear Clinic following his fellowship training in 2008 and practiced there until joining the Idaho Ear Clinic in 2020.
Dr. Wilkinson has extensive clinical and research experience with Cochlear Implants (CI) and Auditory Brainstem Implants (ABI). He enjoys treating adults and children with chronic ear disease, tympanic membrane perforations, cholesteatoma, progressive sensorineural hearing loss, and other types of hearing loss. He evaluates and treats vestibular disorders, and he has written extensively on the comprehensive management of Meniere’s disease and acoustic neuroma. He is a recognized expert in endoscopic ear surgery.
