Regan Bergmark, MD, MPH, FACS, FARS is a rhinologist and endoscopic skull base surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She is an assistant professor of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bergmark hails originally from Minnesota and is a graduate of Stanford University. She was a John Gardner Fellow for Public Service in Washington, DC before earning her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She remained at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts Eye and Ear for her residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery and surgical fellowship training in rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery, and completed her Masters in Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Bergmark is a principal investigator at the Center for Surgery and Public Health where she studies healthcare access and surgical outcomes, and how to mitigate social and environmental risk factors. Her work has demonstrated the many barriers patients may face in timely presentation to high quality care, and potential facilitators for better access to care at the patient, community, health system and health policy levels. She has additionally focused on the composition of the surgical workforce and barriers and facilitators to a successful surgical workforce.
