My name is Henrique Ochoa Scussiatto, MD, MSc, PhD and I am currently serving as a medical resident in the University of Illinois - Chicago. I also collaborate with colleagues at the University of Chicago and Rush University Medical Center.
I graduated in Medicine from the State University of Londrina, Brazil, in 2018, and entered a MSc program in Public Health afterwards at the same institution. After the completion of my MSc in 2020, I entered their PhD program in Public Health in the same year, in which I graduated in in 2024.
My main field of research is to understand how air pollution and environmental hazards influence diseases of the upper airway and head and neck. My goal is to continue the research on how environmental exposure can affect the incidence and mortality of surgical diseases.
