Dr. Marcio Nakanishi was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He has medical degree from the Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP Botucatu (1996), Medical Residency in
Otorhinolaryngology at the same University (2000).
Fellowship program in Rhinology at Jikei Medical School in Tokyo-Japan (2001-2002) where he performed studies on Rhinosinusitis and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
In 2005, he finished the PhD in Otorhinolaryngology at University of São Paulo (2005). In 2022 he completed the post-doctoral program at the University of São Paulo - USP Ribeirão Preto in olfaction. The subject of the study was the olfactory assessment device.
He is currently Otorhinolaryngologist at the University of Brasília, associate researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Brasília. He has experience in ENT Surgery, acting on the following topics: chronic sinusitis, olfaction, nasal polyposis, rhinitis, asthma, residents surgical training and skull base surgery.
Belongs to the editorial board of the International Archives of Otorhinolaryngology and Brazilian Journal of Otorhinolaryngology. President of Brazilian Academy of Rhinology (2018-2019).
