Abtin Tabaee, MD serves as Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and Director of the Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine – New York Presbyterian Hospital. As a nationally recognized leader in rhinology, Dr. Tabaee’s clinical and academic focus is the management of complex disorders of the paranasal sinuses and skull base. He has published extensively in the field with an active research focus on emerging technologies and surgical outcomes. He has also been actively involved in mentorship and development of post-graduate rhinology education. He has served on various American Rhinologic Society committees, including co-chair of the ARS Mentorship program. He has authored numerous book chapters, has co-edited two textbooks and has published over 75 peer reviewed research articles. Dr. Tabaee graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and received his medical degree with honors from Cornell University Medical College. He completed Otolaryngology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the combined Columbia - Cornell University training program. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery at Weill Cornell. He is a fellow member of the American Rhinologic Society and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the Triological Society. Prior to joining Weill Cornell in 2015, he was Associate Professor and Director of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery in at Beth Israel – Mount Sinai in New York from 2006-2015.
