Rachad Mhawej, MD is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He is fellowship trained in head and neck cancer oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction. He is an active member of the American Head and Neck Society. Prior to moving to the USA, Dr. Mhawej earned his medical degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed residency training in otolaryngology at Saint Joseph University in Beirut and a fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery at the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio and the OU College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. His interests include quality improvement in head and neck surgery, head and neck cancer prevention, and tobacco cessation in head and neck cancer patients.
