Dennis I. Bojrab, MD is a founding member of the Michigan Ear Institute and fellowship program in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery. He is regionally and nationally respected for his expertise in evaluation and management of patients with dizziness, ear infections, various types of hearing loss, facial nerve disorders and acoustic neuroma surgery and management. He has pioneered techniques of Gamma Knife Radiosurgery and Endoscopic posterior fossa surgery. He has developed multiple middle ear prostheses to help patients hear and reduce infections in the middle ear. He has pioneered several surgical procedures to reduce surgical trauma with the use of Lasers and endoscopes.
Dr. Bojrab completed a medical school training and residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1984. He completed the Neurotology fellowship training from the Otology Group in Nashville TN and Vanderbilt University in 1985. He has practiced the greater Detroit area since that time dedicated to Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery and one of the founding members of the Michigan Ear Institute and the fellowship training program. He has been an invited guest lecturer involved with training hundreds of physicians in the evaluation and treatment of patients with dizziness, hearing loss, ear infections and skull based tumors regionally and nationally. He has performed mission work internationally with training physicians and treating patients. He has written, co-authored or edited 5 otology text books and over 125 publications in peer reviewed high impact medical journals.
Dr. Bojrab is a past Board Examiner for the American Academy of Otolaryngology and review panel for scientific publications such as Otology/Neurotology, Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, Laryngoscope and the ENT Journal.
He has over 125 publications in scientific peer journals and 5 text books in the field of Otology and Neurotology.
