Frank G. Garritano, MD is a Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon with The Permanente Medical Group and Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. He is double board certified in both Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He completed his medical education at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, and performed his internship and residency training at Pennsylvania State University followed by additional fellowship training in Facial Plastic Surgery with Dr. Vito Quatela, MD, FACS at the Quatela Center for Plastic Surgery in Rochester, NY.
He currently practices in the East Bay area of the San Francisco Bay Area. His clinical interests include functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgery, facial skin cancer excision and Mohs reconstruction, facial cosmetic surgery including rhytidectomy and blepharoplasty, and the full spectrum of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, chemical peels, laser resurfacing, etc.
Dr. Garritano has been engaged with the Academy throughout his training and career, having served as a resident member on several committees and as the resident delegate to the American College of Surgeons. He currently is a member of the AAO-HNS/F Ethics Committee and the Outcomes Research and Evidence Based Medicine Committee. Dr. Garritano has also been involved with the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery throughout his career, where he currently serves as a member of the Fellowship Committee, the Continuing Medical Education Committee and the Humanitarian Efforts Committee.
Dr. Garritano lives with his partner and their dog Cooper in the Bay Area. In his free time he enjoys weightlifting, yoga ( he is also a RYT-200 certified Yoga Teacher) hiking and exploring the California countryside, cooking and enjoying the many fine and diverse restaurants in the Bay Area, gardening, and reading. He also enjoys photography and is a PADI certified scuba diver.
