Eman Bahrani, MD is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Dermatopathology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Bahrani is a native Texan, who graduated from Rice University and obtained her MD with Honors from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She then completed her Internal Medicine internship at Mount Auburn Hospital with Harvard Medical School before starting her Dermatology residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). Following residency, Dr. Bahrani completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA, and is board certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Dr. Bahrani is interested in general dermatology and sees adults and adolescents in her clinics, which are enriched in organ transplant recipients and patients with a history of melanoma. She also interprets and reads dermatopathology cases at both VUMC and the Nashville VA Medical Center. Her research interests include molecular mechanisms of and risk factors for skin cancer as well as improving diagnostic accuracy in the clinic and at the microscope.
