Yasmin Eltawil is a second-year medical student and researcher at UCSF. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.S in Biology with honors in 2020. She began conducting ENT research her freshman year of college and has been doing it since. She began in the Cheng Lab at Stanford conducting basic science experiments in the murine inner ear looking at hair cell regeneration. She is currently a member of the Chan Lab at UCSF. In addition to being a researcher and student, Yasmin is on the leadership team of a national nonprofit called Syrian Youth Empowerment that helps Syrian and Iraqi students apply to universities world-wide.
