Priyesh Patel is an Assistant Professor and serves as the Residency Program Director within the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He specializes in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Chicago (Phi Beta Kappa), medical school at the University of Wisconsin (Alpha Omega Alpha), residency training at Vanderbilt University, and fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University. Dr. Patel holds additional clinical appointments at the Nashville Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital.
Dr. Patel is actively involved in initiatives to improve residency education at both departmental and institutional levels, working closely with the office of graduate medical education. He is engaged in a number of research projects focused on understanding and improving clinical outcomes in facial reconstructive surgery. He has authored or co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications/ book chapters.
