Now a medical student at UAMS, Ashton holds leadership roles, such as Vice President for the Class of 2025 and Mentorship Chair for the Women in Surgical Education (WISE) group. She recently hosted a charcuterie suturing event, demonstrating her dedication to fostering a supportive community for future surgeons.

She has also illustrated two childrens books. Her unique blend of artistic talent and medical knowledge fuels her interest in otolaryngologic surgery, where she hopes to combine their visuospatial skills with surgical precision.
Looking ahead, Ashton aspires to match into Otolarygnology - Head and Neck Surgery this Spring then continue her journey in global surgery while integrating mentorship into her future medical practice.
