Dr. Troy Woodard is a distinguished Professor of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. His specialty interests include acute and chronic sinonasal disease, CSF leak repairs, and anterior skull base neoplasms. Serving as the Section Head of Rhinology, Sinus, and Skull Base Surgery, he also directs the Advanced Rhinology, Sinus, and Skull Base Fellowship. Dr. Woodard is a passionate advocate for diversity and student mentorship and is dedicated to strengthening the pipeline for underrepresented minority youth in medicine. His commitment is reflected in his involvement in several national medical societies. Notably, he is a past president of the Harry Barnes Medical Society, has chaired the Section of Otolaryngology of the National Medical Association, and has served as the Chief Diversity Officer for the American Rhinologic Society. Within the Cleveland clinic, Dr Woodard is the Surgical Director at Beachwood Family Health Center.
Dr. Woodard's remarkable leadership paved the way for his recent election as the President-Elect of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, a historic achievement as only the second African American in the Academy's 127-year history to hold this esteemed position. His election underscores both his personal accomplishments and the Academy's commitment to excellence in otolaryngology.
