PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This expert lecture series will take the learner through several case-based modules to review the common presentations, diagnostic tools, and treatment options for autoimmune mediated laryngeal disease. Emphasis will be placed on subtle clinical and exam findings to encourage early identification. Delay in diagnosis and subsequent sequela will be discussed. Autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, granulomatosis with polyangiits, IgG4, amyloidosis, relapsing polychonditis, and pemphigus will be discussed. Audience response system will be utilized to encourage participation.

Learning Objectives:

Interpret signs on larynoscopy that are pathognomonic for autoimmune manifestations of the larynx.
Examine the importance of proper selection of biopsy medium to aid in correct diagnosis.
Review recommendations for management of common autoimmune manifestations of the larynx.
