Inna A. Husain, MD is the Medical Director of Laryngology with Powers Health in NW Indiana. After completing her Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Northwestern, Dr Husain completed a laryngology fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, a Harvard teaching hospital. She started her career in academic medicine as the Section Head of Laryngology and advancing to Associate Professor. She transitioned to community practice where she was tasked with creating the first comprehensive Voice, Airway, Swallowing Disorders Program in NW Indiana. Dr. Husain is active on social media with over 270K followers on a platform of laryngology medical education and patient advocacy. She has authored over 37 peer-reviewed publications, written op-eds in Scientific American, Ms. Magazine, and the Hill, numerous press mentions including in Self Magazine, Women's Health, Parade Magazine, and PopSugar, and is an International speaker and lecturer. She is also an active member of ALA and ABEA. Her research interests include laryngopharyngeal reflux and subglottic stenosis.
