Jonathan P. Giurintano, MD, FACS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he serves as Associate Director of Research and Associate Program Director. A native of Jackson, Mississippi, he graduated from Millsaps College with dual degrees in Mathematics and Chemistry, he received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, and he completed residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis followed by the Bryan Hemming Endowed Fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of California San Francisco. His research interests include outcomes in HPV-related oropharyngeal cancer, novel free tissue harvest techniques, and patient-related outcomes following microvascular reconstruction. He is currently competing a Masters in Clinical and Translational Research at Georgetown University.
