My name is Taseer Din and I currently serve as a Pediatric Otolaryngologist, Head-Neck Surgeon at Sidra Medicine and Research Center, Doha, Qatar after completing a Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology, Head-Neck Surgery, at Stanford School of Medicine, Stanford University, USA. I am also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology, Head-Neck Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar.
During my career thus far I have been fortunate to receive several awards. While at Stanford University, I was awarded the Fellow of the Year within the Department of Otolaryngology, Head-Neck Surgery and nominated for the 2023 Kelley M. Skeff GME Professionalism Award. During my residency at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, I was awarded the esteemed Mandela Rhodes Scholarship from over 7,500 applicants and the TSESI Dubai traveling scholarship, among others.
I serve as a coordinator with the International Federation of Otorhinolaryngological Societies (IFOS) and within the education committee of the Young Otolaryngologists of IFOS (YO-IFOS). I have also served as the Africa regional representative under the umbrella of the Global Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Initiative (Global OHNS).
I am a highly motivated clinician with a keen interest in clinical and global health research. I have published multiple original research articles within the highest impact journals in our field. Having had the privilege to have trained and practiced medicine in both low and high-resource settings, I have gained holistic perspectives in the arena of global health, education and clinical care.
My ultimate vision is to continually perform clinical medicine at the highest level and promote global otolaryngology research that facilitates an equitable and world-class clinical practice.
