Woo-Jin Jeong, MD, PhD

Professor Woo-Jin Jeong is a board-certified otolaryngologist and a head & neck surgeon at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital (SNUBH) in Seoul, Korea. He had his education and clinical training as an otolaryngologist at Seoul National University (SNU) and its affiliated hospitals. He further went on to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Moores Cancer Center (UCSD) as a postdoctoral scholar in pursuit of research in head and neck diseases. His clinical interests are diagnosis and surgical management of head and neck tumors, including thyroid cancers and salivary neoplasms, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, and microvascular reconstruction. He serves in various academic societies including the Korean Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the Korean Society of Head & Neck Surgery, and the Korean Society of Laryngology, Phoniatrics, and Logopedics, just to name a few. He is also an active member of the Asian Society of Head & Neck Oncology (ASHNO), Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery (APTS), Young Otolaryngologists of the International Federation of Otorhinolaryngological Societies (YO-IFOS), and the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He has given numerous invited lectures domestically and has written more than 90 SCI-cited international publications and book chapters.
