Alan W. Johnson, MD, MS, is board-certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a medical technology innovator and has a long history in medical device development. He is a graduate of the Earl Bakken Medical Device Center Innovation Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He is the lead inventor of dental occlusion ties, also known as Minne Ties, an FDA-cleared and commonly utilized technology for mandibular and maxilla fractures, TMJ replacement surgeries, and associated operations.
