Dr. Camilo Reyes is an Associate Professor within the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University. He embarked on his medical journey at the Universidad Del Bosque in Bogotá, Colombia, where he attained his medical degree. His passion for Otolaryngology led him to further specialize at the Universidad Nuestra Señora del Rosario, culminating in his expertise in the field in 2014.
Eager to expand his horizons, Dr. Reyes pursued advanced training through three prestigious fellowships at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. These immersive experiences delved into Rhinology/Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, and Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, enriching his repertoire of skills and knowledge.
In 2018, Dr. Reyes was sought after to join the faculty at MCG, where he commenced his tenure as an Assistant Professor. His dedication and contributions were swiftly recognized, leading to his promotion to the rank of Associate Professor in 2022. He was the Co-director of the Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery fellowship at Augusta spearheading the training of future leaders in the field. Seeking new challenges and opportunities for growth, he transitioned to Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he currently serves as faculty at Grady Memorial Hospital in Downtown Atlanta.
His clinical interests encompass a diverse array of areas, including the management of inflammatory diseases of the sinuses, reconstruction of skull base defects, and the treatment of both benign and malignant tumors affecting the sinonasal cavity and skull base.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Reyes remains actively engaged within professional organizations, including the American Rhinologic Society (ARS), the North American Skull Base Society (NASBS), and the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology (GSO), where he contributes his expertise and fosters collaboration within the broader medical community.
