Dr. Stephanie Joe, MD, FACS, FARS, ACC is a Professor and the Director of Rhinology, Sinus & Skull Base Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is the Director of Rhinology, Sinus, and Skull Base Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she has been a faculty member in the department since 2002. She created and built the formal rhinology practice that continues to grow. Her practice is focused on advanced rhinology and skull base surgery. She has served in many roles within the department and the institution including past Residency Program Director and leader of faculty development for the department. She is the current Co-Director of the We-CARE Program, a peer support program for the faculty of the UIC College of Medicine. She is an active member of the AAO and has served on multiple committees over the years. She is currently a member of the education committee and annual program committee and is part of the Women in Otolaryngology. She is a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society where she also has served in multiple aspects supporting the Society. Currently, she is member of the education committee, the Allergy in Rhinology section, and a member of the general council for the Women in Rhinology. She also participates in the Society of University Otolaryngologists and the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Though Dr. Joe participates in all facets of academic medicine, her focus is education. To that end, she is a certified executive coach and uses these skills to enhance the educational environment and support the development of future leaders in medicine. Her coaching practice is dedicated to supporting young physicians in reaching their career goals.
