Bharat Panuganti is a laryngeal surgeon, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his Otolaryngology residency training at the University of California- San Diego, and subsequently completed his fellowship in Laryngeal Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital with Dr. Steven Zeitels. His primary clinical interests include the endoscopic management of laryngeal cancers and laryngotracheal stenosis; his research interests include identifying molecular determinants of outcomes in laryngeal cancer, and assessing intraoperative imaging modalities as mechanisms to improve assessment of margins and tumor geography during transoral laryngeal cancer resections.
