Myra Zaheer is a M.D. candidate at The George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, with a pronounced interest in global surgery, particularly otolaryngology. She is passionate about improving health equity and quality of care in underserved regions. Myra has played a significant role in the development of a didactic curriculum designed to enhance the training of Haitian residents in otolaryngology. She is honored to moderate the symposium "Dèyè Mòn (Beyond the Mountains): Navigating Challenges and Advancing Otorhinolaryngology Care in Haiti," where she will facilitate discussions on the current state of otolaryngologic care in Haiti, the challenges faced, and potential international collaborations to support and improve the training and healthcare delivery in the region.
