Dr. Gomez is a board certified otolaryngology - head & neck surgeon. He completed medical school and residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He specializes in reconstructive surgery of children born with ear deformities and small ears (microtia), seeing patients at all ages for counseling, diagnosis and surgical treatment. He also treats children’s hearing problems, complex airway and obstructive sleep apnea issues. Dr. Gomez has partnered with the Pediatric Endocrinology Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles -- a top 10 ranked pediatric endocrine program in the United States -- to provide surgical intervention for thyroid issues. Dr. Gomez has authored multiple articles on the topic of Ear Reconstruction Surgery which have been published in leading journals. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
